Description
Named after the Hindu goddess of divine feminine power, Shakti is a rare and striking strain with a character to match its name. It began as an albino mutation of the classic Malabar cubensis strain, a variety with roots on the Malabar Coast of India, and it carries that heritage in its ghostly, almost ethereal appearance: pale, luminous fruiting bodies with thick, robust stems and firm caps that bruise a deep blue where touched.
Shakti is most often described as heart-opening. Where some mushrooms feel heady or sharp, this one tends toward the emotional and the embodied, a smooth, flowing come-up, rich visual texture, and a quality of warmth, connection, and introspection that many associate with the sacred feminine. It’s a mushroom people reach for when they want to feel, to soften, and to turn gently inward. As with any journey, what you bring to it, your intention, your setting, your willingness to surrender, shapes the experience far more than the strain on the label. Shakti opens a beautiful door. Where it leads is between you and the medicine.
Freeze-dried mushrooms are preserved at low temperatures under vacuum, which helps retain more psilocin and delicate secondary tryptamines compared to traditional air drying. This process results in a fresher profile, longer shelf life, and more consistent potency over time. Many people also find freeze-dried mushrooms easier to digest and more predictable in their effect.
