Our goal: anything we put out into the world, anyone should be able dispose of the packaging without creating long term waste.
Are we there yet? No
Are we close? Yes
We wrote our commitment to sustainability and how we want to be transparent instead of greenwashing. Check out the details behind our packaging in one of our stories.
Our Paper tubes can be re-used, recycled with other paper products. They are plastic-free so they will also eventually biodegrade.
They are made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified materials.
And yes, the stickers can be recycled and are fully biodegradable.
Our compostable stand up pouches are certified compostable, including films, valves and zippers. They primarily composed of a blend of materials derived from eucalyptus and cassava root.
Unfortunately that means they cannot be mechanically recycled.
Our small pouches will biodegrade as they are made from a bioplastic, which in the presence of microbes, create an enzyme that breaks down the long-chain molecules of the plastic.
However, they cannot be recycled or commercially composted.
We fully admit that these are not as eco-friendly as we would like them to be, but we’re working on it.
The exterior packaging for our Magic Mushroom Chocolate Bars are made from paper which is easily recyclable. Unfortunately, the single use, food safe plastic wrapper needs to be put in the trash.
For future production runs, we aim to replace this plastic with something more sustainable.
Supporting our community is a huge part of who we are and what we are trying to achieve.

Set and Setting are crucial to an extraordinary mushroom experience. Music plays a crucial role in creating the setting and can deeply impact your mindset. We’re assembled our favorite playlists to enhance your journey.
Have any of your own favorites? We would love to add them to our list!
This particular playlist was concocted when the Imperial College of London were undertaking Phase 1 clinical trials for psychedelic treatment of depression. It is tailored to a single medium-to-high dose of psilocybin.
“Apart from the music selection and the structuring of this selection into a particular order, the mixing is an important aspect. The ways songs transition into each other, the fade-ins, the fade-outs, and the periods of silence, all together determine an experience of flow and continuity: The way the music breaths in and out of silence, and in and out of diverse emotional trajectories, is attuned to the experience”
This is a five hour, fully connected journey designed to musically guide a group or individual through an entire psilocybin experience, start to finish.
The seven-hour and 40-minute playlist, developed by researchers at Johns Hopkins, seeks to express the sweeping arc of the typical medium- or high-dose psilocybin session, often with classical music. (There is extra time built into the playlist, as session length can vary.)
This playlist was arranged by researcher Kelan Thomas, and carefully follows the multiphase model that Helen Bonny and Walter Pahnke developed in the early 1970s. The playlist includes more indie, new wave and post-rock than any other therapy playlists.
The idea here is to create a sense of ebb and flow that the participant can feel as a series of tension-and-release experiences. A playlist with multiple peaks can also help to titrate the experience and keep it from getting too intense.
